Grungy KeyboardMy Writing Tool

I don’t journal, but I do blog every day.
So, my blog, in essence, is like a journal.
It’s not a diary kept under lock and key,
But widely available to anyone on this planet,
As long as the page is kept alive.

Some time back, I asked God for a fresh thought every day.
Trust God to give you more than you can handle,
But direct you forward with all your mind-directed
To address that fresh thought every day.

As with a paper and pen journal,
the day will come when the internet
will no longer share my words, thoughts, or ruminations.
When may that be? Only time will tell.

But until then, I’ll keep on writing and sharing.
Ahha… I pause and hear my dad singing that old song.
Until then, my heart will go on singing.
Of all the performances found, I love this casual approach.

Mostly in the early morning,
when darkness rules
before the light brightens
into shadows cast across my path.

I’ve learned how to refresh my mind,
A long walk, drive, or even hard work.
Keep the noise and distractions at bay.
It’s my time to let my subconscious rule.

From that moment of restoration,
Old songs make their appearance.
I’m not a singer or performer,
But I’ll join a heavenly host and sing for me.

Yesterdays do not rule my mornings.
But they do influence my direction.
Picking up the load, shifting the baggage,
I gravitate to where a need has appeared.

Then I pause to consider, Am I Ready?
Whatever situation I’ll step into?
What can I do to Refresh? Renew?
Disconnect! Clear out the registers, warm boot.
Review my direction. Am I now ready?
If so, go, and if not, re-do.

Tomorrow? An ancillary thought to this post. Until Then?

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
(Psalms 51:12 NKJV)

If So, Go. If Not, Re-Do. But until then, my heart will go on singing, Until then, with joy I'll carry on, Until the day my eyes behold the city, Until the day God calls me home. Click To Tweet
