wooden figure praying over the scriptureIt's Time To Pray

I’ve believed in the power of prayer most of my life.
The part that’s not “most” is when I was too young,
And when I was struggling with trust issues.
That’s what prayer is. Trust. Confidence.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

It’s not just a matter of faith.
It’s an acronym I learned 40 years ago.
Forsaking All, I Trust Him.
Trust is how I believe, speak and act.

I will say of the LORD,
“He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Psalms 91:2 NKJV

Have faith in His ability to answer your need
But trust in Him enough to go to prayer.
Trust allows me to face life with action.
Sometimes, that’s retreating to His fortress.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.
Proverbs 18:10 NKJV

Faith is me trusting in the answer
That I have received exactly what I need.
Trust is acting upon the answer He gives.
Where I asked from a position of Faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

Today, I feel the urgent need to share.
Ask in faith. Trust the process. Do the work.
God has the answer.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
