The Circle from Seed to TableChange...

Every day for years,
from a starting point back then,
I asked God in prayer for this idea one day,
Give me a new thought or word to consider.

Is He doing it? Or is it of my own doing?
Expectation sets the foundation for success.
Every day, for nearly a dozen years,
A new thought or a new word, with focus, arrives.

It comes from Him, but what if it’s just from little ol’ me?

What if I were to ask for something more?
I started praying over 30 years ago,
Lord, put someone in my path closest to eternity.
Perhaps I can make or be a difference to them.

Who am I, one may ask, that God would do either of these things?
I’m just me, and you are just you, but God knows us both.
Haven’t you ever asked for a miracle or deliverance?
If that can happen, then a word or person can make an appearance.

I feel a change coming around the corner.
It’s not that I think I have all the answers to all the questions,
But God did make me a thinker, researcher, and pursuer of answers,
Could it be all my communication shows what I am?

My words, whether spoken or written, lean to the side
Of making life a testimony. Real events, sometimes a parable.
Nothing is held back, except some details do not need to be shared.
So, “What’s New,” you may ask. Something is changing.

There’s been a culmination of all these thoughts
Floating and bumping around in my noggin.
It’s time to step up and do instead of thinking and sharing.
That’s the result of progress. Keep moving forward to a goal.

A few years ago, someone thanked me for writing.
It doesn’t happen often. I’m rather deep but also shallow.
But this person told me my writing felt “real” to them.
No fluff, no image to uphold, just rubber to the road.
That’s all I am and probably ever hope to be. I’m me.

Stay tuned. Changes are collecting into something new.
God is still placing people in my life.
I am still busy being an influence.
And new thoughts and words show up every single day.
I will still be a pastor, a husband, father, son, sibling, and friend.
But I feel Change is in the Air.

I Feel Change is Coming… Change is something we all feel from time to time But when Change produces something visual Then perhaps it's time to take notice. What's changing in your world? Are you doing anything with it? Click To Tweet

[Not to take it out of context, but I believe God’s Word is there to foster change in our lives.]

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD,
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 12:1-2 NKJV

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Hebrews 13:8, 15-16 NKJV

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
But do not forget to do good and to share,
for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
