A walker down the railroad tracksWhen I wander, I muse

A tree falls in a forest.
No one is there to witness.
Does it make a sound?

If you think a thought and don’t share it…
Did you think at all?
That’s one reason I share – affirm my thought!

Sometimes, social posts are the same way.
Affirmation goes a long way to ensure you are being heard.
But that’s not why I post or read yours.

I’m trying to share with some who need it in their time.

Call it persistence, perseverance, or whatever.
I call it Faith. Hope. Love.
I keep on doing what I’ve done for years.

That’s why I pray even when it seems the prayer is not heard.
That’s why I worship even when it seems to fall on deaf ears.
That’s why I study the Word, even when nothing new pops out.

I’m preparing for the day that it connects.

That’s why I tell my bride I love her, even after nearly 49 years.
I don’t need her response, nor does she need me to say it.
It’s simply the idea of affirming our love lives even when times are tough.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times.

That’s why I’m open to change.
Sometimes the rut shows we’re stuck,
And other times, it’s the path we must take.

As we age, life changes around us.
Sometimes, the rut is our safety net.

Just turned sixth-eight.
Thirty-two more years till I reach that C-Note.
My reasoning is sound. #Faith #Hope #Love
