Love Thy NeighborLove Thy Neighbor

Just a quick thought this morning about giving grace to others.
Allow for their space of dealing with life.
They face something that we don’t understand,
We should ask ourselves a question.
Do we know their whole situation?

Realize the truth.
You seldom have the complete picture.
So, don’t act like you are superior to another’s spot in life.

I’ve not been through every situation in life, nor do I understand the whole universe. When someone is at a stage of life that is impacting them, don’t give them grief. Try to understand. Or, try to walk in their shoes for a little while and see what they see, feel what they feel. Comprehend from their point of view.

Let’s not be narrow, nasty, and negative. ~T. S. Eliot

When you try to force your view on others, you are disrespecting their space, even the eternal and internal battle they deal with. Rather, come alongside them and show them you are there to help. Then, help them if they want it!

A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another;
as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all will know that you are My disciples,
if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35 NKJV

Love sees past the struggle and reaches through the morass to the individual who is dealing. Most times? That’s all we can do. Love others. When you don’t know what you don’t know, and you may not even understand, then love thy neighbor. That’s often the most important thing you do.

When You Don't Know What You Don't Know: When you don't know what you don't know, and you may not even understand, then love thy neighbor. That's often the most important thing you do. Click To Tweet
