It’s easy to cherry-pick scriptures and believe only from the choicest pick.
You cannot make a doctrine from one scripture, but as with anything we believe, everything comes from two-three witnesses. (Acts 20:27, Deut 17:6, 19:15) You may choose a scripture as your preference, but life saving/giving doctrine comes from sources that back each other up.
In Acts 20, after the voice that speaks truth is gone, Paul tells the church in Ephesus that savage wolves will come in, sparing N-O-N-E! Even some voices from within the leadership will speak perverse things and lead some astray.
