A Poem about C.M.G.
by Bobby Anderson

Somewhere along the way
I found a medium for what I like to say
Because life has a flow and ebb
In the morning all things are new
I know because I’m up way before you
I actually write about it on the web.

My first Convert became my Spouse
We have two kids, dogs, and a house
There’s no greater joy than being a father
At the bank, lunch was for Bible Studies
Me and Jac Peters are buddies
Did I mention I am an Author?

I don’t make a habit of wagging my finger
My dreams are filled with a Dodge Dart Swinger
I love a long dialogue
I have Big Hands. I like wide opens Lands
Did I mention I have a Blog?

If you don’t drive a truck you’re not a man
My Dr. is Pepper and he comes in a can
Sorry to say my garage is a mess
I love being old
Almost as much as being cold
You can read all about it at my blog address

Brenda and Alaska make my heart swell
Did I mention I’m on Twitter as well?
If you’re interested I will sell you a dog
I’m from Texas so I know how to fight
Not sure if you know but I also like to write
Did I mention I have a blog?

Somewhere along the way
There is an opportunity for the church to say
There is time to follow your dreams
I hope I didn’t cause a rift
From the church accept this gift
You’ll find it’s more than it seems.

  1. […] Could it be that’s it’s high time, no, past time, to put some words into printed form? Well, that’s what #TwentyTwentyTwo will be all about. For pastoral appreciation, my church donated some cash my way to prepare for a book. Each Sunday in October gave me a special recognition – painted, spoken, given and even a recording from a young man I love! Hey, there, Joshua! There was a cool poem I think you’d get a kick out of.
