I love lemons in the appropriate places, but I’m not one who can eat one without a lot of puckering and squirming. I have an aunt who can eat them like they were a slice of an orange. She must have defective taste buds. Or I do. What made someone, way back when, determine to test a lemon and then decide it’s tartness was good?

We’ve heard it said, and have probably used the words ourselves.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

That’s my job this week. It’s called Jury Duty. I’ve “escaped” the opportunity to serve time and again. But just not this time. When my schedule is pressed, and the pressure is real, go ahead and toss another needle on the pile…Will I break?

Poor sleep, dark foggy drives from my country getaway, and feeling the pressure, I’m sure I will prove I’m fully capable.

When pressures mount, and time gets short, it’s easy to push back. “No Mas!”

This brings me to another saying.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!

No pain. No gain. You will enjoy your downtime better when you’ve worked hard to acquire it. Hmm. Vacation will be a blast!
