Wooden mallet about to crush a poached eggAre you Humpty Dumpty?

Yesterday, my thoughts ran to someone I considered strong
Facing challenges head-on, it seems nothing could go wrong.
But something did. You watch. Unable to assist.
That strength turned brittle overnight. Strong became fragile.

I paused and wondered about our strength in general.
The life we faced from youth till now, strongly we faced each comer.
But let a series of blows come from every corner
This may be something the mind and backbone cannot handle.

What turns the tide from standing strong
To feel like everything is going wrong?
Nothing seems to be going right
Eventually, you curl up into a fetal-like ball.

Everything turns strangely focused: inward.
From thoughts, words, actions, and reactions.
As I think this through, I begin to see.
What seemed overnight?
Fragility is always there.
Can it be changed?
Probably.
How?

Insight.
Strength training.
Your mind is a weak link.
Take complete control of it.
Don’t let the enemy of thoughts root.
Step to the home plate of life and swing through.
Again. Again. Hundreds of times until you get it right.
Don’t quit. Pause. Or slow down. Keep swinging back. Hard.
If you think it’s quitting season, keep practicing for the next season.

Hang in there! We are praying for you!

The adages of history tell of those who challenged us.
Never quit. Never give up. Winners never quit. Quitters never win.
Whatever it takes for you to strengthen your resolve and will
Find that nugget of truth that speaks to your core.
It’s time to become strong. Again. Turn from the inside. Hope is outside.

When the Strong Become Fragile: Your mind is a weak link. Take complete control of it. Don't let the enemy of thoughts root. Step to the home plate of life and swing through. Again. Again. Hundreds of times until you get it right. Click To Tweet

Job 3:20-26 NKJV

“Why is light given to him who is in misery,
And life to the bitter of soul,
Who long for death,
but it does not come,
And search for it more than hidden treasures;
Who rejoice exceedingly,
And are glad when they can find the grave?
Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden,
And whom God has hedged in?
For my sighing comes before I eat,
And my groanings pour out like water.
For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me,
And what I dreaded has happened to me.
I am not at ease, nor am I quiet;
I have no rest, for trouble comes.”

Job 42:10 NKJV

And the LORD restored Job’s losses
when he prayed for his friends.

Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
