ThankfulThankful

This has been a year to remember. Even with the down times, the positives have definitely outweighed the negative. That’s my focus! Too many will focus on the negative, and that brings this song to mind from Hee Haw.

Gloom, despair, and agony on me.
Deep dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.
Gloom. Despair. And agony on me!

Still, I look back through my memories of the year, and if I could borrow the tone and similar words from my youthful memory, I would simply say it like my favorite news anchor:

“And that’s the way it is! November 28, 2019”
~Walter Cronkite

Others struggle with recognizing positive news, and I should know, I quit paying attention to most of it when their focus became biased to their corporate thrust. If I could ask any of them to write the story of 2019… Well, I would simply save my money and write the headlines and news stories myself!

Why? I tend to look for the good in the storyline. There are too many negatives, so why not look for the positive instead?

As this year wraps up (Christmas is just less than a month away), why don’t we all step back from our focus and ruminate. Make this the year of remembering the positive. Don’t itemize the negative. Celebrate the “good news”. Paint your view of Thankfulness with a better palette of memories.

As the year wraps up, why don’t we all step away from the negative and turn our thoughts to the positives. Make the memories of this year culminate in positive thoughts. Click To Tweet
