Fresh MorningFresh Morning

Milestones met, goals achieved, and pausing to glance over my shoulder, and then evaluating the future – all things I’ve done to freshen my view. All things I’m doing this week to make sure my view is focused.

It never stops, nor should it. We should always have a fresh view of our lives. Else, like that proverbial scum laden pond, we eventually change from what we youthfully envisioned. Old. Crusty. Trapped with no outlet.

Why do we allow our outlook to become so “old”? Part of it seems to be the speed of change is faster than we can adapt. Think technology. Or music. Even cars.

I’m happy no longer being on the bleeding edge of technology, and am tired of the constant change and updating required to have the latest and greatest.

Equally, I’m mostly content with my older selection of music. Songs, singers, songwriters remind me of my youthful existence, and this new music style, voice, instruments, or lyrics, well… Well, if I can’t understand it then I go with that which I know. And understand! Pure enjoyment is settling in to sounds from my younger days!

There was a day I enjoyed following all the changes of cars, but then the foreign market exploded. Today. They all look the same. Don’t get me started on this!

Here’s My Thought Today

How do we keep our view of life fresh?

It’s not that I want to stay the same for the rest of my life, but neither am I comfortable adapting every day to something new. I work hard on keeping my mind sharp and in focus, but I also enjoy keeping my world touching the things of my past. This is why I enjoy collecting old stuff while enjoying new gadgets.

For me, it all comes down to choice. What I enjoy, I keep, even if it doesn’t make sense to others. I will enjoy my collecting and reminiscing through old memories. What frustrates me, I change. Some are dropped, and others are adapted, and still others are simply “Filed in that Round File Cabinet“ by my desk.

What choices do you make that keep your life fresh? What I enjoy, I keep. What frustrates me? I adapt it to me, or toss it away. Click To Tweet

My research keeps me ranging for and wide for fresh input, but I am also looking for those things that anchor me to my past. I’m willing to pick up something and consider how it will fit in my life.

When does this happen the best?

Early morning. Long before most are up, and even before the sun makes a full appearance. That’s where my Freshness comes into play. My energy is strong. Especially when it’s icy cold! Frosty! Never let the morning get away from you! That’s the time of the freshest view of life!
