New Day RisingNew Day Rising

Remember waking up for the best day ever? Your birthday. Christmas Morn. The first day of vacation. Even your Wedding Day! We anxiously waited for that day to arrive and suddenly it’s here!

Equally. Do you remember waking up worrying that this day has finally arrived? Surgery. Lawyers. Courtroom. With dread, you drag yourself into the morning.

We know scripture tells us that the rain falls on the Just and the Unjust. The sun rises on the Evil and the Good. (Matthew 5:45) Not to take this scripture out of the context of the Words of Jesus spoken in the Beatitudes, can we not see that whether the day is meant to be good, or bad, that God has provided what we need for the days’ challenges?

Daily Bread (Matthew 6:11, Luke 11:3) Daily Benefits (Psalms 68:19). Could I ask for anything more?

Good people. Evil people. Just. Unjust. We are equally provided the day and I believe some make it worse by their attitude, and others make the best of whatever circumstance has been provided.

David wrote,
“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24 NKJV)
Notice. WE will rejoice. WE will be glad in it.

Regardless of the day that chance, circumstances, good planning, bad planning, or whatever else you may see, think it through with a different understanding than what your past has posted!

“This is the Day that the Lord has made for us. Rejoice. Be glad.”

When we dread the arrival of the day and let our own circumstances dictate how we will respond, then we are taking the potential of a God-induced plan and ensuring only we get to dictate how the day will progress. Sometimes we must prove to others we are capable of making the day be God blessed even when it’s a day of rain and grumpy attitudes!

I posted this recently and I wonder how much better we would all be if we simply followed the formula.

A good way to start any day, but preferably every day:
“Good morning God. This is Your day. I am Your child. Show me Your ways.”
Now, mean it and live like it. This is His day!

Now. Really. Believe it. Mean it. Live it. And Rejoice in the day that God has provided! Regardless of the day you think is in store for you, let God hear you say, “This is Your Day. I am Your child. Show me Your ways.” Then, get up and live the day rejoicing. Even if…

Just saying!
