Lyrics to a song with a cassette tape
He Never Changes

If I could think about everything I’ve adapted to…likes to dislikes and maybe back to liking all over again. Hang onto my skinny ties because they will come back into fashion occasionally. Maybe.
Pinch pennies or spend them lavishly.
Be conservative, or think like a liberal.
Vote this way today, and that way tomorrow, and never consider that you changed sides.

You know. We all change! Over time and through situations.
Across the miles and through the years.
Though I change, and the times change,
We must know we are not the same as we were when first born.
Even the wise man Solomon understood this.

One thing for certain.
He Never Changes.
His Word stays the same, though we change the translation with more modern language, better paper and covers, different ink, and study aids.
He will always love us, even when we are unloveable.
Even when we fail in our love of others.
He has a plan, even when we fail to discern or follow.

His desire is always for His creation, and I like that.
The future is unfolding for us. He knows what’s ahead.
Since I belong to Him, why should I worry or fret?

Come on, can I share a song?

I don’t know about tomorrow. I just live from day to day.
I don’t borrow from its sunshine, for the skies may turn to gray.
I don’t worry over the future, for I know what Jesus said.
And today, I’ll walk beside Him. For He knows what is ahead…
(Ira Stanphill, 1950)

The one thing I know, though His plan isn’t adapting to this crazy world we are living in, He knows how we are going to get there, wherever there is at.

He Never Changes: God is not adapting His plans to these crazy times. He knows all about our tomorrows. Share on X

Don’t take it out of context, but God spoke to Israel through the prophet.

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel,
to all who were carried away captive,
whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon:
Build houses and dwell in them;
plant gardens and eat their fruit.
Take wives and beget sons and daughters;
and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands,
so that they may bear sons and daughters—
that you may be increased there, and not diminished.
And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive,
and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel:
Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you,
nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.
For they prophesy falsely to you in My name;
I have not sent them, says the LORD.
For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon,
I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD,
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me,
when you search for Me with all your heart.
I will be found by you, says the LORD,
and I will bring you back from your captivity;
I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.
(Jeremiah 29:4-14 NKJV)
