Two words seldom used, or if they are, not received very well.
Instead of saying, “You’re welcome!” we discount the deed, explain away our position, or ignore the moment.
This Monday morning, I want to say “thank you…” To any reader, all readers, today, yesterday, or sometime in the future, you took a moment to click on a post to read. Thank you.
Someone told me to write for the audience, but that’s not what I started off doing. I write for myself. It’s not a journal, but in some ways, it’s the story thread that is my life. When I pray for a fresh thought, I believe God points me daily to a thought I get to spend quality time on. I write, hit the publish button, and then share.
Why? I really don’t know. It’s something I gave to God and He gives back.
Over 20 years ago, we started our present church in Washington. My first message was titled “The Process of the Promise.” From a position in life, a promise is always talking about a future event. Life is a process to get to the fulfillment of that promise.
That’s why I write. In the future, there’s a promise waiting to be obtained, and I’m processing life from here to then.
I give thanks to you, and my God.
Psalms 107:
1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
15 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
31 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Thank you for reading.
Please share with others.
It helps me get my book written!
