It’s easy to tell a lie,
Whether little, white, or bald-faced,
Just say what you want,
Don’t even hesitate.
In the end, it’s your words that condemn you
And by the same words, you’ll be judged.
Either don’t care what comes out of your mouth,
Or pause, think, and speak the truth, albeit with Love.
If you can’t think of an honest answer with Love,
Then perhaps silence is your best position.
Lying and dishonesty began in that famous Garden.
We were lied to, and then we lied about,
And finally, we know what happens next,
We stood up to God and passed the blame.
The Apostle Paul delivered a verdict (Ephesians 4:15)
That we should speak the truth in love.
Love is how we’ll be known as His,
And by the same love, we become an example of Him.
If you want to win your day…
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
(Psalms 19:14 NKJV)
