Resolutions were planned, and it is day 2…how goes it?

Most resolutions fail by the end of week two.
Guilt, sense of failure, and phrases heard sound something like, “Why bother?”

Already set for failure, why do we torture ourselves like this?

There is a better thought, at least for me.
Creating a habit with a destination in mind makes it easier to set up for success.

It’s like slipping pocket change into a jar and ignoring the jangle until it fills up.
It’s not done at a set time, but if I load up my pockets every day, then I’m sure to unload them later.
Ca-ching! My habit has filled gallons of jars and satisfied some Numismatic desires. (Every so often, I find something worth saving.)

Again, it’s like writing every day.
I blog.
My word count goes up.
I improve my communication skills.
A book will be my result.

Driving smartly, dressing for success, or anything you’ve accomplished in your life shows you can make new habits.

Let me ask again. How goes the new Year?
