In these present times, I know the past was full of moments where I had to choose whether fear of faith won the day. In present times, I don’t remember them. Trust me, though, they were there.

Why?

They could be so insignificant that memory is lost in the clutter.
Too many to count? Maybe.
But most probably, I challenged fear with bold action and conquered fear frequently.

Fear has a place in life.

But fear can be something that overwhelms us with inaction.
I can fear the moment with respect to the danger. That’s a healthy fear.
But fear can paralyze you to inaction – you know, frozen into place.
If you react improperly, the results doom you to certain failure.
For that kind of fear memory, I have many examples.

Conquer fear, faith grows.

If you do it enough times, faith becomes the regular victor.
Let faith be your normal response.
Tackle the moment and become stronger.

In my younger years, I learned Faith as an acronym. Forsaking All, I Trust Him.

With this stored-up view of faith, fear gets lost in the background noise of life.
It’s still there, and there’s certainly some respect to give it.
After all, fear does protect you from that which you are already afraid of.

Just don’t let Fear win against Faith!

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
