When life is heavy and the load is tough,
No matter the issue or the struggle at the moment,
Let it be said, and some do know this,
There are those who love you and pray for you.
Even if it’s a misstep or a major fall,
There are those silent messages called prayer
So, to their knees, they fall.
It’s not about blame or accountability. Oh no.
It’s what they’ve learned to do. They pray for you.
It is my heritage, a foundation sure and strong
I have those in my family who exampled
Prayer. Prayers. Sometimes, all day long.
Even when there is no reason, they pray for you.
Why not let it be said, from those who’ve led the way,
Learn the value of prayer, not just a search for answers,
But the true understanding, as Jesus gave an example
Be a praying person for others while they pray for you.
A praying person doesn’t stand and proclaim. No. They pray.
In secret and closets made for other reasons,
They bend their knees and reach out to God.
Just like Jesus prayed in secret, they pray for you.
