Questions and AnswerQuestions and Answers

How many times alone and in need have we needed a word?
One will do.
What would that one word be?
Okay. That’s one. Will it work?
No. Wait. Quit talking in one-word sentences.
No. Wait. Let me think this through.

Maybe a single word needs a supporting staff.
To feel or give encouragement, peace, love, or availability.
They give the word wings to define the action.
Let’s try it.

I’m here for you.
Let me help you.
I’m praying for you.
What can I do for you?
Let me carry your load for a while.
Here, let me give you a hand.

Sometimes, a single word is enough.
Most of the time, you must wrap it with articles and action.
That’s the only way to make one word useful.

The word we often look for is lost in general platitudes.
Action words need to be presented.
Equally, they need to be accepted.
It takes two to tango, and it’s easier to go with someone than alone.

It’s hard to ask for help.
Often harder to accept.
We don’t want to be judged or thought to be less than what others perceive.
When you offer to give, keep your silence – you know, right hand, left hand. Shhh!
When you accept what’s offered, just be thankful.
Blessings are given and received when we do without expecting in return.

And that brings me to my thoughts this morning.
I hesitate to let my guard down and share how much help I need.
But I’m quick to ask when I perceive the need is real,
“What can I do to help?”

Matthew 7:7-11 NKJV
[What One Word Do You Need?]

Ask,
and it will be given to you;
seek,
and you will find;
knock,
and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives,
and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Or what man is there among you who,
if his son asks for bread,
will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish,
will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father who is in heaven
give good things to those who ask Him!

Please share with others.
It helps me get my book written!
