Knowledge and truth found in books
Knowledge vs Truth

Someone asked about when I knew the Word was true. It’s been shared often, but you’d have to rummage through all my postings and sharing to find where I knew it was Truth. Here’s a link. It’s all about Thimk!

Thimk and Do (Click to Read my thought on Thimk!)

I have knowledge, but what I know, and I ask this of myself often, is it the truth?

Just because you “know something” does not mean what you know is the truth!

Saul became Paul and had to learn what he felt was the call to pursue and destroy. Christianity. It went against the Law, or so he supposed, and he was incited to rise against falsehood and bring it under control.

Those in charge gave him authority to bring down this new movement. You know his story. On that road to Damascus, he had a “real-time” run-in with the one he was fighting against! Jesus. Suddenly, everything is backward. What he knew was in need of a new revelation. He had the facts but not the application. He saw from a perspective, but in the meantime, the Messiah had shown up and revealed more than they could comprehend!

Acts 26:24-29 NKJV
Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice,
“Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”
(25)  But he said, “I am not mad, most noble Festus,
but speak the words of truth and reason.

(26)  For the king, before whom I also speak freely, knows these things;
for I am convinced that none of these things escapes his attention,
since this thing was not done in a corner.
(27)  King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets?
I know that you do believe.”
(28)  Then Agrippa said to Paul,
“You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
(29)  And Paul said, “I would to God that not only you,
but also all who hear me today,
might become both almost and altogether
such as I am, except for these chains.”

Paul had appealed to Ceasar for a hearing about his situation. In the next few verses, Festus and Agrippa say Paul was not sharing anything bad and deserves his freedom…except he had appealed to the highest authority. A Roman Citizen had this right! So Paul used it.

Why? His highest calling (Found on the infamous road to Damascus) was more than just for the local folks! Ananias gets to deliver the news!

Acts 9:15-16 NKJV
But the Lord said to him,
“Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine

to bear My name before Gentiles,
kings, and the children of Israel.
(16)  For I will show him how many things

he must suffer for My name’s sake.

If you knew your path included the highest authority, would accept their freedom if it was theirs to give? Do you go against the truth of your new path? Or do you accept the calling and push forward?

One last consideration. Today, you Google the answer. You even ask AI (artificial intelligence) to explain better than you’ve ever thought was possible. AI might not tell you the truth, and just as with old research books, do you trust what is presented?

Or Do You Dig It Out For Yourself? (ODYDIOFY)

But I have a greater witness than John’s;
for the works which the Father has given Me to finish
—the very works that I do—
bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.
And the Father Himself, who sent Me,
has testified of Me.
You have neither heard His voice at any time,
nor seen His form.
But you do not have His word abiding in you,
because whom He sent,
Him you do not believe.
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think
you have eternal life;
and these are they which testify of Me.
But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
John 5:36-40 NKJV

At some point, you trust the work done years and centuries ago. But it’s always wise to verify.

My knowledge of the Word became the Truth of God’s Love.

I’m just saying. I have a lot of Knowledge, but I also know the Truth.
