Pixelating my thoughts
Saturday Slow

Saturday’s, at least for me, are seldom slow
Even the longer I’ve been tripping around the sun
It seems there’s always something to do
Some place to go or to exist in my space.

Saturday does not have to be slow
Nor must you remain alone
The words and thoughts I hear and give
Are often enough to bring improvements to this day.

Yesterday, I itemized my life, and if you sum it up?
I was surprised at the number of negatives.
It’s easy to be overwhelmed, and you either get run over,
Or you tackle the issues and make them disappear.

In fact, other than what God has called me to do
And maybe this is critical, crucial, and a key thought.
We all face negatives when facing life alone
But with God, that’s where I see my positives.

You can either depress or repress.
Let in the stream of negative thoughts
Or push them back, like a lion tamer,
You may need a whip and a chair!

Through several contacts on social platforms,
I extracted a thought that needed to be expressed
That’s what I usually do. Share something good.
Even when everything seems to be bad. Negative. No Good.

God Gives Me Grace

For the moment I’m in, this brings me my thought
And I can say it no better than Paul in ten of his thirteen letters:

Grace to you and peace
from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ

He did not include this opening in his letters to
Timothy or Titus, whom he called “sons in the faith.”
To them, he enlarged his greeting:
Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Grace. Mercy. Peace.
The words of our lives.
Not just what we receive,
But are required To Give.

In what was thought to be his first letter
That stated the beginning of his ministry so well,
Paul expands on the fruit that we need to remember we possess
When we walk in the Spirit of Christ.

But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law.
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh
with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Spirit.
(Galatians 5:22-25 NKJV)

Suddenly, Saturday is not slow
Nor am I alone
The negatives do not win.
I have purpose and am ready to face
The first day of the week.
