Morning Reflections

Early morning. Coffee brewing.
Stumptown beans,
Smells fresh and heavenly.
Downtown Portland. Traffic spewing..
The world awakes.
Noises. Inside and out.
Flickering lights. Dry pavement.

Comfortable rooms, no balcony.
Windows barely open,
They are afraid of accidents.
Best bed I’ve slept on this month.
No grocery store near,
So convenience is pricey!

Enjoyable time.
But with limitations,
By self, timing and location.
Road trip home, soon we’re driving.
First week of brides restatement,
Is too soon ending.

We are blessed.
Lessons learned?
Never judge the whole by the part.
Good memories always outweigh
But the choice is yours. As you reflect…
Side by side, inside and out.
