During the past few weeks, I have been sharing my heart.
Sunday. Wednesday. Sunday School. Blogs. Social posts. Even a conversation or two.
We are in some opportune times for growth and revival, but it’s hard to see the potential of the future through the veil of the present.
Why?
We are not the occupiers of the future.
We only have the present to deal with.
Two proverbs of dubious roots planted this thought
As I walked through my little forest yesterday,
Those fir-laden woods I love so much,
I looked at those tiny plants waiting to be inserted into the ground
And realized the value of the saying we’ve heard about so much.
#1 – If you plant a tree in the morning,
it is unrealistic to expect to sit in the cool of its shade by the evening.
#2 – The best time to plant a tree was thirty years ago.
The next best time is now.
I dug into various teachings this week from some favored speakers and writers.
I dug deeper because I felt a connection. I researched through my Bible, beginning to end.
There’s no end to my dig.
Maybe it was what I needed to hear, but I also found a thread running through the thoughts that earned my focus.
What am I needing in this time we live through?
Occupy until I’m done.
Can I agree: It is what it is?
But I must look forward to the time when it isn’t.
It is what it is until it isn’t.

Thank you for reading.
Please share with others.
It helps me get my book written!
