Pressure guage, manometer
Pressure too high?

Imagine a pressure cooker.
The tightly controlled lid has sealed the fate.
The build-up of pressure is sure to do its job.
But when it is too high, how do you release the overload?

What happens when the pressure of life gets too high?

Sure, there are automatic measures,
And valves you can use
But what is the best way to release the pressure?
Stop what’s creating it!

Releasing only goes so far.
But the application of heat
It keeps trying to make the pressure build
You need to Unload the Heat!

For the past few days, I have felt pressure.
But I’ve lollygagged around.
Instead of attacking the flame
I’ve let the pressure disable my response.

That’s the problem.
If not addressed, you will become disabled.
Unable to move forward,
Everything will pile up and overwhelm.

When visiting Yellowstone…
You are sitting on a pressured dome of power.
Little vents happen all around you.
But someday? That pressured world could explode!

David prayed:
“From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
(Psalms 61:2 NKJV)

Sure. Prayer works. It will release the buildup of pressure.
But those tasks that are pressured need to be addressed.
Some will run, or hide.
That will not work!
Only a resolve to attack the pile will do.
Don’t let it get so high you can’t get over it.
Choose some quick wins.
There! Now, don’t you feel better?
Layout your plan of attack.
What’s most importantly faced first?
Keep priorities in mind!
Shush distractions…
Charge!

Okay. Problem attacked.
But if you want a future without pressure
You must plan for it better than just letting the pressure build.
Redistribute the load. Share the process. Train others.
You may still be responsible for the overall result,
But it is better to have help in advance of the need that overwhelms you.
