Simple Math?

I love complexity when it comes to thinking,
For sure, math can be extremely complex,
Just as with any of the sciences, language, or philosophical thoughts.
I love to break it all down to the point of simplicity.

1 + 1 = Us…
Baby + Baby adds a few more.
But here we are, late in life
Indeed, I wish there had been more.

70 trips around the sun?? Been there, done that.
I’m 8 days into my new trip.
The first week is gone,
I’m looking forward to that following completion.
It’s only 51 weeks away.

Yesterday, I started my tractor, and it was 28 degrees.
But there was no fire to be had in the burn pit…
It may have been too wet or, plainly, too cold.
Regardless, it counts when you try.

Early this morning, quiet ruled the house.
I watched a “Ted” type talk dealing with complex math
Everything we know and all we do,
It follows a complex math that affects all we know.
But a song crept in, almost unaware:

Count your blessings. Name them one by one.
Count your blessings, and see what God has done.
Count your blessings. Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings. See what God Has Done!

Everything begins from nothing,
Add to make something.
Keep going.
Endless blessings.

With that in mind, scripture floated through the brain cells.

  • “I can do all things…through Christ…who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
  • And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
  • “…Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.” Joel 3:10
