There’s nothing like a Monday
Which isn’t any different than any other day.
But God plans to recognize each day. Unique.
Reality? Yes. We struggle with Monday.
It’s past. Whew. It lasted all day long!

Do we ever adapt?
Can’t Monday get a better reputation?
Though we are loaded up and busy with our dogs,
At day’s end, I was so happy we had no kids at home!

I was considering God’s day of rest.
We call it by the Bible word. Sabbath.
Traditionally, it’s a Saturday.
Most say it’s Sunday, and then they work hard to have fun.

But for me, Sunday is work,
So, I try to rest during the Sabbath.
Again, on Monday.
Well, truth be known,
I try to carve out rest cycles every day of the week.

I took a short 15-minute Sunday afternoon nap.
Maybe going to bed early would help. It didn’t.
Monday was winding down, yep, a 20-minute chair nap.
I will need it today—septic problems plaguing our world.
Last night, I didn’t get enough rest. Hello, 3 a.m..

Is there ever enough rest?
I’m sure every day of the week to come needs special handling.
I know why, and that’s not important. I will find rest when I can.
It’s Tuesday afternoon. I feel that Rest Cycle Showing Up…

“One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike.
Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.”
Romans 14:5, NKJV
