AI Bull racing with huge horns

Grab the bull by the horns, don’t wait,
Face your fears, stand up to fate.
Hold on tight, embrace the ride,
With courage strong and eyes open wide.

Challenges roar, but don’t back down,
Wear your grit like a battle crown.
Take the risk, seize the chance,
Life’s adventure—lead the dance.

Back in the ’60s and beyond, the Huntsville Texas Prison had an annual prisoners rodeo every Sunday in October. We went a time or two because it was entertaining and, I suspect, because we had a cousin who was the warden.

One of the most entertaining parts was when a large bill of money (100.00??) was tied between the horns of a bull. He was normally huge with a wide spread of horns. Prisoners took chances to try and grab the money without getting injured. I never saw anyone hurt, but it seemed there was always success.

Grabbing the bull by the horns doesn’t always provide a payday, but it does indicate you can get something done by standing up to the moment and forcing some action.

This week, I’ve been doing just this.

Changes are happening. I’m studying better, being more intentional about my calorie intake, and, despite some foot pain, I’m trying to move more. E-X-E-R-C-I-S-E. I’m also taking control of some financial issues. Projects around the house are getting completed.

Now, if I could sleep the whole night through.

Some bulls are intimidating, just like some tasks. Some you have to wait till they are at rest, or charge up from their blind side. Regardless, every bull has a weak spot. That’s where I’m thinking this morning. Head On or from the Blind Side.

Regardless. Take control.
