Been there… Done that…
Feeling incapable of doing what’s right,
Or making the best decisions,
Or seeing the light at the end of that proverbial tunnel.
It mostly happens when caught
between the rock and a proverbial hard place.
Even in the shadowlands
Where neither darkness nor light rules.
As I write at the end of the day
The night looms darkly
Winds and rain are coming
The final storm of the season? Perhaps.
But the feeling is here…
It’s easy to feel inadequate.
Caught between and never making
That smooth transition between
Right and Good, or Wrong and Bad.
This Way, or That.
Here and Now, or There and Then.
Wakefulness or Sleep.
Clear Headed or Cloudy Brain.
Simple Vision, or Progressive Hogwash.
Catch the drift. It’s easy to understand.
Our inadequacies keep us from living best.
That’s one place I don’t want to be.
Out of sorts with you, them, us, or me.
I buckle up my mind, trim the excess to the side,
Gravitate to the center, where peace is sublime.
Live in the moment, worry less about the edges,
I’m okay with my inadequacies…I won’t let them ruin me.
Good, better, best.
Never let it rest.
Till your good gets better.
And your better gets best.
