Usually, I never sleep till an alarm rings.
My internal clock wakes up early.
This morning? A major webinar at 7 am.
Last night? A perfect night of rest.
And me? I didn’t even set the alarm.
As I was readying my space to meet,
Coffee and refill, PC rebooted, everything attached.
It came to me. That which I’m about to do. Participate.
It is me at my very best.
I shelved the thought till the meeting finished,
Kitchen cleaned, dogs fed and exercised,
And only now can I unravel that morning thought:
What’s Your Best?
Meeting and greeting people, sharing a thought,
Listening, praying, agreeing and binding,
This could be my future. I’m just saying.
When you know your best, you become your best.
That’s what I want to share today.
Being my best doesn’t mean not doing everything else.
Life is replete with things necessary to others,
As one writer puts it, they are the “needful things.”
(No. I’m not referencing “that” author!)
But knowing what I’m comfortable with, and at…
Sets my world to flying as long as I don’t forget the others.
Pick the buzzwords that identify you. Order them. Top to Bottom.

This is my unfinished list. I’m just getting started.
But if you took the time to think yourself through life’s grinder,
What would your list look like?
Maybe you think in color – look at my picture for this post.
There are many colors in the mix. Choose your best.
Take a quiet moment or two. See the story of your life.
Fill out a checklist of your personality. The Good. Bad…
Even the downright Ugly.
Trim and shape, tell me, what’s your best?
A scripture comes to mind. I’m not sure if I could identify me.
I see myself in both personalities.
I’m Mary…and Martha…
But could I have an influence as Jesus?
Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village;
and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary,
who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.
But Martha was distracted with much serving,
and she approached Him and said,
“Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?
Therefore tell her to help me.”
And Jesus answered and said to her,
“Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
But one thing is needed,
and Mary has chosen that good part,
which will not be taken away from her.”
(Luke 10:38-42 NKJV)
