I’m not sure how your mind works,
We are each uniquely built, constructed, and wired
But when you have a thought that demands attention
How do you handle it? Do you deal with it right now?
For the most part, I file it away after a few seconds.
Surely I’ll remember it next hour
When there will be time to sit down and consider
The thought with all my faculties and force.
That may work for you. Seldom does it work for me.
As that poet who found the Lost Chord
While playing upon her organ.
What did she say?
I do not know what I was playing,
Or what I was dreaming then ;
But I struck one chord of music,
Like the sound of a great Amen.
Maybe this is my thought today.
Don’t waste another second ignoring its importance
Pull over to the side of the road if you must
Pour yourself into thinking it through.
That thought must be important.
If your subconscious brought it to the forefront
Lose it, like a fish in a pond,
You may never catch that one again.
I’m just saying we are each unique
So when that thought bubbles from the deep
Grab it. Hold it. Think it through.
There’s something of value waiting to be discovered.
1 Timothy 4:13-16 NKJV
(Emphasis Mine)
Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
Do not neglect the gift that is in you,
which was given to you by prophecy
with the laying on of the hands of the leadership.
Meditate on these things;
give yourself entirely to them,
that your progress may be evident to all.
Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine.
Continue in them, for in doing this you will save
both yourself and those who hear you.
