Okay. It’s Christmas in July. Amazon promotes several “deal days” that begin today and ends tomorrow. If you need something, this may be the time to look.
Otherwise, don’t spend your time on anything so unprofitable.
The allure of prime may hook and draw you into spending money you don’t have for things you don’t need to impress those who do not care. (Sounds like Dave Ramsey, right?)
I could be talking about Prime Numbers, but I’m not. Do you even know what Prime numbers are?
What better focus could you have?
- Seek first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness… (Matthew 6:33)
- Read for profit, and start with something good before wasting time on something without value.
- Nail that Deadline to the Floor! Done!
- Finish what you started so everyone knows you can finish what you started.
- Weed through those things that clutter your life and be brutal with excising them out of your life.
- Stretch yourself to reach someone you’ve let drop off your radar.
- Plan your life and live your plan. (From my pilot trainer back in the early ’80s.)
- Budget your dollars, or they will slip through your fingers.
- Know your limitations, and then find a way to make things happen anyway.
- Be willing to pay for some things that are not a profitable use of your time.
- Did I say to contact someone you’ve not talked to in a while? Keep on doing it even though they don’t respond.
- Tell someone you love them and then show the results of that love by doing something for them.
- Get a good night’s sleep. Eat better. Exercise enough. Drink plenty of water.
- Love your spouse, parents, siblings, children, extended family, friends, and neighbors. In other words, don’t hate anyone.
Do you have something you would share that would make this a better starting point for your life? I’d love to hear it.
1 Timothy 6:6-21 NKJV
Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and clothing,
with these we shall be content.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men
in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil,
for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness,
and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But you, O man of God,
flee these things and pursue righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life,
to which you were also called
and have confessed the good confession
in the presence of many witnesses.
I urge you in the sight of God
who gives life to all things,
and before Christ Jesus
who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
that you keep this commandment without spot,
blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing,
which He will manifest in His own time,
He who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone has immortality,
dwelling in unapproachable light,
whom no man has seen or can see,
to whom be honor and everlasting power.
Amen.
Command those who are rich in this present age
not to be haughty,
nor to trust in uncertain riches
but in the living God,
who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
Let them do good,
that they be rich in good works,
ready to give,
willing to share,
storing up for themselves a good foundation
for the time to come,
that they may lay hold on eternal life.
O Timothy!
Guard what was committed to your trust,
avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions
of what is falsely called knowledge— by professing it
some have strayed concerning the faith.
Grace be with you.
Amen.
