Wolf! Or so the boy cries! Help comes. Never mind. Just kidding.
But when there is truly danger, no one shows up.
Why? Fool me once, not twice, as the saying goes.
I’m not falling for that line again.
A bit of news slipped through the cracks this morning. The danger is on the edge of time, and we are about to be challenged financially in the marketplace with our jobs and safety. Again. It seems this news pops on the horizon by this person or someone waiting their turn to be the harbinger of hard times.
That’s not to say we are not about to see stressful times, but I’m not sure how this next season will affect me. After all, I’ve been through many “wolf criers” at least once a year for the past 50+ years!
When the fog of the times destroys your view,
you sure need some clarity.
I opened my Word and found that tough times have been hitting population centers for millenniums. American History confirms the ruse of the times is still trying to nullify the feeling of accomplishment with the bully of doom and gloom. Between ancient times and the morning news? Some fear the end. Every day.
I DON’T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN since I’m not a financial market expert. Nor can I guess when a downturn swoops around and rebounds. The sky is falling!
I note that it’s easy to distract many of us with disaster news and then allow something to slip past us that should have had us hollering loudly!
When you feel the desperation of the moment, pause, and look around, there’s probably something else going on that some hope you’ll never see. That’s when you need clarity.
Clarity Matters: When you feel the desperation of the moment, pause, and look around, there's probably something else going on that some hope you'll never see. That's when you need clarity. Share on XOkay. I got my new glasses today. Finally, I can see with clarity what was missing this morning. But the thought persists. Don’t be fooled by those who boast bad news. There’s always a better way to see the moment.
Proverbs 27:20-24 NKJV
Hell and Destruction are never full;
So the eyes of man are never satisfied.
The refining pot is for silver
and the furnace for gold,
And a man is valued by what others say of him.
Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,
Yet his foolishness will not depart from him.
Be diligent to know the state of your flocks,
And attend to your herds;
For riches are not forever,
Nor does a crown endure to all generations.
