Wake, To Dream No More

I woke this morning to a comforting thought
The morning will come when we awake one last time
From that moment forward, dreams will be gone
On that day, we start our eternity. No More Dreams.

No more dreams that often turn into nightmares.
Night sweats and panic attack that slaps sleep silly.
The throes of being in a story you have no control over.
Or in a moment of bliss, you cannot recreate when wakened.

The Bible says old men will see visions, and young men will dream.
I must still be young. I have dreams aplenty.
Perhaps visions are what we hope to see happen,
As we become disillusioned with life in the present.

On that grand eternal morning, and if I get it right in my mind,
We will awake and never need to dream again.
All is done, the fight has ended, and the enemy is defeated
And we begin our brand new experience.

It’s been a week thinking of heaven for some odd reason.
What a wonderful time and place that will be.
No more sorrow, tears, or anguish.
Time to be with my King. Savior. Lord. God.
And those who are experiencing No More Dreams.

Revelation 21:1-7 NKJV

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
Also there was no more sea.
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying,
“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
and He will dwell with them,
and they shall be His people.
God Himself will be with them
and be their God.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain,
for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said,
“Behold, I make all things new.”
And He said to me,
“Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
And He said to me,
“It is done!
I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the Beginning and the End.
I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely
to him who thirsts.
He who overcomes shall inherit all things,
and I will be his God
and he shall be My son.
