Take Time Plaque
Making Time, Not Taking It

Around our house for years
This little plaque has hung
Purchased as an impulse
Or received as a gift… Who knows?

For years, I’ve taken it for granted.
It’s always about taking time,
For those things you’ve forgotten
That is important… Don’t you know?

This morning, passing it by
Not feeling the best in the world
The schedule is full, getting fuller
And this distraction you do not need.

But it grabbed my attention
I thought about making a change
Instead of taking the time
I am a creator, not only a user…I know this truth!

Time, that is. For that, we’ve forgotten.
Life is about the little things
That should be the big things
We’ve swallowed them up. They’re gone.

Today. I want to make time
Even when I’m busy and not feeling the best
When the family wants to speak
Don’t let it get to you.
Pause. Make time. What did you say?
There. It’s done. I feel better.
And it was very easy to do.

Take Time

To Think,
It is the source of power.
To Play,
It is the secret of perpetual youth.
To Read,
It is the fountain of wisdom.
To Pray,
It is the greatest power on earth.
To Love,
It is a God-given privilege.
To be Friendly,
It is the road to happiness.
To Laugh,
It is the music of the soul.
To Give,
It is too short a day to be selfish.
To Work,
It is the price of success.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NKJV
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
(2)  A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
(3)  A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up;
(4)  A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
(5)  A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
(6)  A time to gain, And a time to lose;
A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
(7)  A time to tear, And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
(8)  A time to love, And a time to hate;
A time of war, And a time of peace.
