Hello, Mr. Sun!
The expected snow turned to rain,
clouds abated for a few,
and through the haze of reflective glass,
Mr. Sun said hello.
More snow tomorrow. Yes, I’m okay.
The welcomed break between
storms, cold, and dark of night,
sheds a few moments of sunrise bright.
Though a shade hopper I be,
At 31 degrees, there’s no reason to be.
Why!? It’s fall, silly. Most leaves are history!
Raked, piled, burned, or just lying around.
Quickly, Go Do Life before the haze develops
It’s already making an appearance
Let’s make use of this gorgeous sun
Uh oh, it’s already showing fog.
The Yelm Tornados were out and about,
Loaded for a win in their final bout
Football, cheerleaders, parents, and students
Shouting a cheer as the police escorted them out.
A lab appointment, then brunch at Mr. Doug’s
Where our favorite server, “Hi, Norah!” met us at the door
Power outage? No Worries! We’ll make it through
Just slow down, and enjoy good ol’ Mr. Sun.
Where’s my morning cup of brew?
There’s something missing when you don’t connect
To your community where you are at,
Or even where you once lived
Work, Church, Family, Neighbors, galore
Howdy! The Sun Brought Me Out.
