Finish One Word, Start Another

One step, take another, that’s two!
Try again. Suddenly, that’s three!
Keep on stepping in whatever you do,
Before long, those steps become a habit
And that persistence becomes you.

In my writing universe, I’m encouraged.
Write every day. Make it a habit.
Like breathing, thinking, or even eating,
Let your mind direct your thoughts
And put those words into action.

That made me think about books of words
A visit to Half-Priced books and even
A local Barnes and Nobel. There are billions
of words just waiting for you to pick them up.

Read and absorb, think and contemplate. Why?

Words are power, stored and then used.
Stored, they are Potential Energy, and then used?
They are Kinetic Energy with Power in use.
In my library is the potential of words to change the world.
If not yours, at least mine, it’s time to unleash them to the world.

After thousands of blogs and years of thinking,
My words are produced and available to anyone. Everyone.
Whether you read them from near or far.
The next step is often as scary as the First Step
Move out of your teetering stance, brave the space, and now step.

But what do you do with your currency of daily habit
As you start thinking about that next hurdle ahead?
Streamline, re-invent, keep it, or leave it as you move on.
I’m not one to say no. Go away, you’re not worth it now.
Like my little red knife, it’s mine to keep on the shelf.

So, I will redesign my day to accommodate another wished-for task.
It’s been difficult to wake up earlier, but I’ve been doing it.
I’ve found that’s not my answer. It keeps me tired. Rest is needed.
Give in, a power nap is needed. Why?
Because I’m sure not getting my solid eight.

So. There you go. Today marks 114 days of regenartive writing.
Most thoughts are newly presented, some short, and most fairly long.
Hours on the keyboard represent generations of thoughts in my mind.
I’m stepping up the game. Adding a new feature to my day.
It’s time to write that book. As said before, it’s now entrenched.
Now. Go. Write that Word.

Words are power, stored and then used.
Stored, they are Potential Energy, and then used?
They are Kinetic Energy with Power in use.
In my library is the potential of words to change the world.
If not yours, at least mine, it’s time to unleash them to the world.
