My memories belong to me, oh, but I know so well,
When they are shared, there’s a common bond we feel,
A kindred spirit of a past we loved and remember.
A number of times my blogs have brought strangers from afar
Joining with me in the victory of shared memories
Channelview, Seabrook, Baytown, you know.
Names, Places, Events, and Companies we’ve worked.
Texas Commerce Bank, National Bank of Alaska, but the
First State Bank of Greens Bayou is where my bride and I met.
Gray Tool, Y2K, Charter College, keep on!
You talk about things long enough, others chime in, oh yeah!
Recently, Channelview’s memories of school and Helen’s
A burger bar we all loved so much, brought others to ring the praise
Of shared times, places, and names. Quickly, grab the schools annual.
Late last year, Gray Tool brought out a name I knew
But never had the privilege of meeting,
I connected him with my brother, and they had a lot to share.
Yes. My brother and sister-in-law worked at Gray Tool also.
A few years ago, a name rose high, Champion Paper Company
And another distant voice reminisced about family and company park.
These past few weeks of my brother closest in age to me,
And his lovely bride who can cook anything, anytime,
Yes, that’s an invite for you guys to move to the lovely Pacific Northwest
We’ve shared old stories about times and places, thank you for the memories.
I am blessed to be able to share, and hopefully, you find the path forward
That will give you hope and joy as you connect, reconnect, and do it again
Be thankful for the memories, keep them alive by remembering,
But no matter what, share them where generations can mine the treasures
Of yours, mine, ours, them, theirs, and all of us… Memories are a treasure
