Fear and panic cause us to react in ways we would never consider doing any other time.
This morning I thought about those struggling with forward momentum because their reactions set them back. We cannot discount their lives. It could be we don’t understand…yet.
Fear and all the reactions to the press of uncertainty will eventually touch us all. We stand on a crumbling heap we call home and country. Forces are at work to challenge our very right to exist. Wars. Revolutions. Disease. Famine. Resistance.
Jesus instructs several major thoughts.
“Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:”
(Luke 21:14, KJV)
Settle your minds long before calamity comes. Calm your mind.
“And when these things begin to come to pass,
then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
(Luke 21:28, KJV)
Keep your focus on redemption. It’s coming. Finally. How you handle these days is important.
“And it shall turn to you for a testimony.”
(Luke 21:13, KJV)
Whatever happens, your ability to act without fear and panic will be your testimony. Then others will listen. Your wisdom will be like Peter and John.
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,
and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men,
they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them,
that they had been with Jesus.”
(Acts 4:13, KJV)
