I read an article a few minutes ago about what we do to our bodies, and then what our bodies do to us. Weight gain comes not just from poor eating or exercising habits, but stress and rest play an integral part.

Immediately, I relate.

This week has been a stressful week as we prepare for a host of new events this weekend, including the “Fall Back” scenario that produces nothing but stress! We are also beginning our Sunday School hour – the first time since last April. Back then, well, that was the first time in nearly a year.

The stress of the pandemic hits all of us differently. I’m no different.

I’ve learned these past 600+ days that I don’t handle stress as well as I did when I was younger. Nor do I sleep as well as a tired and cranky kid will do after playing too hard all day long.

Hence, the telling tale of our health comes out to play and everyone sees the results…but they have no clue of the contributing factors.
