Shoulder to shoulder
It’s what I hope for
Yet I feel all alone
No one to the left
No one to the right
Abandoned. Alone.
Open my eyes wide
I readily see
Family, Friends,
Complete strangers
I realize after all
I’m never truly alone
But remember
