Some despise a blank page. They find it frightening. Fearful, they flee.
I find it refreshing. It’s mine. I own it. I make it what I want it to be. From pouring out my troubles or creating a new story. Filling the lines with research, or querying a new focus.
It’s my blank!
One favorite competition from my younger years was to be given a topic and then write (or speak) from what I put on the paper from 10 minutes of mental research.
I won some medals, not top awards…mainly recognition. It takes practice! I’ve been doing this for over 50 years…and I’m still practicing!
