Okay. The new year has come, and is fully engaging my attention. Only, it’s not just in the positive direction. (Smile). This last year has had it’s ups and downs. A lot of downs, with a few ups to balance it out.

For me, it’s really about perspective.

How you look at life, even when the bubble has popped and you’re upside down and living in a trench. You should be able to see the “up” even when everything is “down”.

Yep. That’s my perspective.

I dislike being around negative speak and personalities. Most of my approach to life is thinking the best instead of the worst. Keeping my mind out of the gutter, and my speech full of positive words.

Got it? That’s my perspective!

So. When I start to consider my world, I have a perspective that lends itself to being excellent. Not perfect, mind you. That’s just weird. But aiming for the better path is a true focus.

Every athlete, inventor, scientist, entrepreneur, leader, mom and dad… We all know this. It’s my perspective about my life that tells me how I will step through the challenges that face each of us. Every day. All the time.

Think About It

If you have a education and training that prepares you for growth and potential, then you should always look for that next potential step up. Grab more knowledge and training so you’re ready to step up.

If you are a child of God, then you need to know that you are a new creature in Him. You have a new path and purpose that is as old as the hills!

“So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,
and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (MKJV)

Notice the instructions. The Word of Reconciliation is in us. The Word is Logos. The same that was in the beginning with God, and was God. (John 1) It is this Word that is within us if we are in Christ.

Maybe that’s how we have a perspective of excellence. We know who we are, in Christ, and live outwardly that which is within us.

My perspective to be excellent is what keeps me faced forward with determination. Don’t let the negative get you down. Be the positive others need. Share on X

How Do You See Yourself

I suspect a positive self-image is necessary. You are not perfect. No one is. So quit comparing yourself to imperfect people. If anything, you will never be as perfect as God, but isn’t that a good image to aim for?

Maybe you need some lessons on how to see yourself. Maybe.

I’m imperfect. My mind is uniquely mine, my voice, my thoughts, my actions, even the way I feel. Sometimes it works good. Other times it doesn’t.

But if I can “train” myself to have a better thought? Say better words? Or even act better than others around me, well, that’s the improvement I’m talking about.

Did you catch the word “reconciliation” above? That means, simply, “adjustment”. It’s an action word that helps you adjust yourself to the situation, and to help others adjust themselves.
