How do you shut down your day? Especially after you have spent hours doing “life” and then a few hours of doing “nothing”? Yes. It’s been a long day. Fighting fires, traffic, people, and then fighting the “nap bug”? Feeling like there are not enough hours in the day, or there’s just too much to get accomplished?
Long days do come to an end, but if you are not prepared, then tomorrow will be equally long!
This long day began at 5 am, and there was not enough time for my normal routine. I’m not sure why, but that really sets my day on the wrong foot. I’m not a late sleeper, but if I cannot follow my routine, then the day seems exceptionally long.
So. I make up the lost hours when I can and try hard not to feel guilty if I happen to miss a few things. Just don’t let it become your procrastinating habit!
It’s easier to keep procrastinating once you start.
Let the deadline slide once
and it’s easier to let it slide again
until nothing gets done on time.
Let the lapse of judgment slip,
and just like the deadline,
your judgment will slip all over creation.
It’s hard to recover.
So. It’s at 10:30 pm… This is not a morning thought, but it’s been the first time that I’ve been able to sit down for a few minutes of “mine” and do what I normally do, oh, say about 15 hours ago!
