It’s been awhile since I felt this exhausted, and I wasn’t overly interested in Lunch after Church, but it was valuable time with my bride!
I came home and slurred into my chair, propped up my feet and promptly dozed my way into a 20 minute power nap.
Refreshed! Let’s get busy!
Some chicken duties, dog cares and getting ready for some contractors Monday. I’m looking forward to a busy week.
What made me tired? Well. It’s Sunday. Teaching. Preaching. Carrying the load of a church. Praying for the needs of people. Being available.
Is that enough?
Well. Probably not. But the past few days of prepping for today shows me this is not a calling to take lightly. Sometimes the load feels heavy, but He gives me the strength to carry what He’s loaded on my shoulders.
He does for each of us.
I’ve been teaching from this scripture recently.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Mark 12:30 (KJV)
If I give Him my all…then I can’t help but know I make it only by His helping me through all my challenges.
Here is the key, at least for me…I’m not operating under my own strength.
It’s His Strength!
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Psalms 27:14 (KJV)
Let God carry the Load. Do your job. Share your responsibility with those God has called to carry the load. But wait on the Lord!
