Your excuses can no longer be accepted…
The holiday, and the long weekend, is over. Today is the first day of work for many. Perhaps you can ignore your commitments made for the new year, excused by the holidays. But today, you have to own up to your commitment. Not because anyone else is depending on you. No. This is for yourself.
So, as you look ahead keep your focus near and far. Here and there.
The psalmist gives me a scripture to do just that!
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalms 119:105 NKJV)
The lamp to my feet keeps my attention close. The light to my path allows me to look ahead to future steps. Near and far. Here and there.
It’s almost like my eyeglasses. Right now I only need reading glasses. But one pair will not work for every need. I have one prescription for up close reading and seeing, and another prescription for out in front of me about a yard. With my future doctor visit I plan on getting bifocals so that each prescription can be in just one pair of glasses for my computer work. That’s where I struggle with getting the right pair for the right duties.
Find what you need to work and be successful… Close… Far…
