We often think our job is the hardest…

IMG_8585-0When, in fact, someone else thinks their job is harder.  Doctors, lawyer, psychiatrist.  They deal with many hours of training and walking a tightrope of right choices, and often living with less than perfect solutions.

Their work deals with the lives of those who place their trust in them.

Pastor’s deal with lives and souls. One is temporary.  The other is eternity.

The temporary solution providers are weighed in a court of public opinion, or a judge and jury. They pay the consequences of their actions here.  And now.

Pastor’s are judged by an eternal court.  The consequences are out of this world.

Pray for your Pastor.

My grandmother and mom were constantly assembling puzzles in their free time.  Solo. Teams. Little today, or tomorrow.  I do not remember them finding an unsolvable puzzle.

They had strategies.  Corners. Edges. Colors. Each piece seemed to speak of its place in the solution.

Their joy at completion was palpable. They never quit.  Days and weeks may pass, but the puzzle table waited on them.

When finished? Puzzles were re-boxed for the next break in life when they could share some time with their family to solve the puzzle.  Again.

The folks that Pastor’s work with are often as complicated as this puzzle.  No one, and no situation is unsolvable.  Our great God in heaven has proved this over and over.

‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17)

Pastor’s, trust God for every situation.  Folks, trust the Pastor God has placed in your life.

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15)
