All quiet on the western front…

West coast, that is…

Family gone.
House is ours.
Quiet reigns supreme.
Gentle rain.
Cool nights.
Normality, come.
If there is any such thing.

It’s been a busy 6 weeks. Almost non-stop. So far from what we thought a routine life would be like. From memorial services, hospital visits, vacation traveling, preparing for vacationers, family gathering, and all the other regular church routines. It’s good to be returning to a slower pace. At least for a couple of weeks.

Come one! Come all! Gather your strength, another busy season is about to start! Spring is in full swing! Summer is just around the corner. Returning loved ones and new babies to the fold. It’s going to be a grand time!

Thankful for family to come,
thankful to see them go…
a twisted view of life,
or so it would seem.
Lost in daily life,
it’s tough to comprehend
that the cost of life,
a fact we all learn,
There is no such thing as routine.
